Lisa's busy teaching our AMuse card class right now, and as I walked by she was teaching the ladies a new technique I wanted to share. Lisa was playing with her supplies, specifically those tiny Momento Dew Drop Inks we all got when we were waiting for the large Momento ink pads to arrive for us to use with our Copic Markers. Anyhow, she realized that if she pulled the ink pad across the tree trunk she was stamping, she could get texture and shading as if she had colored it in... with one easy step! Here's a picture of the card:
And speaking of "playing" with our supplies, we had a great time in the second part of our Tim Holtz/Jennifer McGuire Creative Chaos class. Two young girls walked in with their Mom and they were quite curious about what the ladies were doing. "It's art class for grownups!" I told them, and it's really true. It's fun to play with paper and scissors. Instead of making paper chains and dolls, we're creating scrapbook pages and cards. And it's just as fun as it was when we were kids!
